Melany now supports WordPress 3.8

Melany

I have been busy in the last weeks, so I can inform you only now about the last updates in my WordPress theme, Melany.

On December 9 Melany 1.0.5.1 has been released. The update addressed a quite big issue: Internet Explorer support. It came out that Melany was completely broken on IE8 and in need of some fixes for IE10 (both on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, which required different fixes – are you still wondering why I love Microsoft stuffs so much?). Another high level issue solved with this update had to do with theย homepage text color setting in the Theme Customizer. Add a css/style.src.css file to simplify the style understanding and you’re done with this release.

Lastest update was to Melany 1.0.5.2, which is just a silly update needed to fully support WordPress 3.8, the band new version of the CMS.

Melany already got more than 6500 downloads, be one of those! And please leave a review. If you want to support my work, please buy me a coffee or pizza.

Yes, I did not yet focus on RTL support.
Hey, it’s free software man! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Look at the official website and the repository on GitHub for this. I’m glad to see people like you contributing to the project ๐Ÿ™‚

Please, fork the GitHub repository and send a pull request (branch dev). Then, I’ll review it and include if ok. RTL support will then be included in the next 1.1 release.

      Thanks again.

Awesome theme, good job! I was just wondering if there was a way to have the full article text display on the front page instead of a summary with “continue reading”?

Hi Aleks, thank you very much!

That’s not possible right now, but I’ll introduce an option in the Customizer in v1.1.

      Stay tuned!
